Inventory your team and set production measurements.
Now is a good time to do staff performance reviews, not for the purpose of raises (this should never be the sole purpose to the review). Set specific goals with your team members. Give them promotion opportunities based on attaining specific training and skill levels. With workloads slower, there is ideal time to sharpen the saw of efficiency and competency to better leverage your people as you help them grow and empower them to contribute more value to your business. Make sure goals and expectations have specific timelines and quantifiable measurements. Everything in your business should have a number to ensure maximum control and predictability.
To your success!
